Default Best ADSL/DSL Router

After a recommendation on the above.

We have a Zytel Prestige 600 at the moment but our e-mail/internet keeps going on and off.

We have had our line tested and they have come back saying its probably your router.

So I need to buy another one. It will be used on a simple workgroup being accessed by 25 users inhouse and will need to allow remote connections.

Cheers

I would recommend a Draytek one. They generally are rock-solid and have firewalls, blocking etc.. built in.

Which one depends on your ADSL provider as I had to stop using the Draytek 2600 I have as it doesn't support BE*.

Not tried the current generation of Drayteks yet but the Vigor 100/110 to pair with a firewall is a <Ronseal> piece of kit.

For 25 users in a business, I would consider something a bit more upmarket if the budget allows (eg a SonicWall or other firewall appliance).

Draytek 2800 VG has been the best router I have bought. Had a netgear before that, and what trouble I had keeping the thing working properly.
Won't buy anything else.

Whats the difference between the 2800 and 2820?

and I take it these are hardwired and not wireless?

I didn't think the 2800 existed anymore.

You can get a wireless (2820n) and one with VoIP and Wireless built in (2820Vn).
