Is their any way to convert NTSC to PAL ?
Basically i have done a download that is in NTSC format and i want to convert the ISO to PAL, is their any straight forward way to go about this ?
My DVD player is multi region but its for a friend that doesn`t have a multi region player, i was thinking if i burn the ISO to a disc then extract the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders and maybe i can convert it to PAL with some sort of software ?

Region coding is nothing to do with the TV format, just a malicious bit of code to try and stop discs playing so movie studios could try and control their release dates and regional content variations.
Pretty much all DVD players will play PAL or NTSC. If your TV can't display NTSC then the DVD player should have some options in the initial set-up menu's to choose whether to output NTSC, PAL50 or PAL60.

when I was doing a similar thing recently nero8 popped up a little box saying something like "this is DVD is mainly ntsc - do you want to record it in PAL" and offering you the option (just means u have to buy NERO8...... )

winavi will allow you to convert from dvd (video ts) into the likes of mpg, avi etc, you can then use nero to reconvert and it will ask you if you wish to change it to pal. (not explored winqvi to see if it does a ntsc to pal conversion) Bear i mind though you can get audio sync problems if you do

Depending on the protection on the DVD, you can use DVD shrink.
I have quite a lot of DVD's that I bought whilst I was working in America and to play them in the car I have to just copy them and change the region.
