Default Are you able to,,,,

Put a lock onto a computer,my 13year old daughter keeps going on sh*te websites,which end up giving me problems,so i've banned her from the computer. But if i dont put some sort of lock on it,while im out she'll be sneaking on.??????? Cheers

If you're using xp or vista then simply add a password to your account and go to control panel / user accounts / change the way the user logs on/off

then make sure the use the welcome screen is disabled.

Is this on Mac or PC?

You could put a password on your computer...... in XP/Vista, you can set up a password for your account.....

Failing that, there is software that will help out (netnanny IIRC)....

The other one that helps saving you messing with the PC is that you discuss with your daughter why she shouldn't go on these sites (easier said than done with a teenager!)....

BIOS password.. Del or F2 when you turn it on and set a password. Job done.

A bloke at work took the easy route:

After I disinfected his virus-ridden computer for him - he put a lock on the door to the room which had the computer in.

Apparently, it went down a treat (stroppy 14yr old )
