Changing a US PSP to Region Free???
Just received a US PSP from my bro-in-law. I borrowed a friends UMD Movie and it won't play the movie due to region incompatibility. Does anyone know how to change/modify the PSP to Region Free?

Are you talking specifically about UMD video? Because the PSP is region free for all games.
I wouldn't worry about it, don't even bother with the UMD video, just rip whatever DVD it is and stick it on the memory stick.

If you install custom firmware, you can go to the CFW menu and set the region in there. You will notice that you dont have Go!Messenger on your US PSP (this was introduced in 3.90FW i think). If you set the region to GB through the CFW it magically appears, as it is not supported on US PSPs.....

Either go the custom firmware route, or rip the video to your mem stick with legit software. I avoid usind any UMD's games or movies, they are slower and use more battery than the memory stick.
