im about to get a new monitor, 19 inch and flat as possible (flat as in flat screen not thin TFT thingy)

i've seen loads of factory refurbished units- are these ok?

and if so does anyone have any experience with the Dell M911? (apparently it uses sony tubes?)

any advice would be good...

Dunno but I have got an IIyama Vision Master Pro 450 19" and its as flat as they get. Picture is excellent and the warranty is superb - Ive had problems with 2 of mine and I call IIyama up and in under 24hrs I have a new monitor and theyve taken the old one away - no questions asked (3 year onsite warranty). Now if only every manufacturer was that good.

Dont what ever you do buy a Smile monitor, i`ve also got a top of the range 17" monitor from them, when it was 6mths old it went faulty, when i rang them up to take advantage of the 3yr on site warranty, i was told "theres no possible way the monitor can be faulty...its our top most model Sir!".....eh? What a set of idiots, half a dozen phone calls and a e-mail to Smile USA it was replaced
