Angry Mac Code

Is anyone else trying to get a MAC code from their broadband supplier as I'm having grief from BT getting mine!
I've been trying since yesterday morning and again today, BT's excuse is that the MAC system is down.
Does anyone know if this is true or not?

You should hear the excuses from the operators why I shouldn't leave them, it's like the world is going to end or something but more worrying is the info given out is complete fabrication and lies!

Cheers

Rob.

Well they now say that this is a very rare occurance that they cannot generate a mac code, so they are now telling me it has been passed to the technical helpdesk who will look into it, however they don't open until monday now!
But they did say I might get it by thursday next week!!!!!

Never again will I use BT.

As above, I think a bit of a reminder about the rules and mention of Ofcom might speed them up.

Don't be surprised by a cold call offering you things to stay with them !!

The MAC code is generated instantly ...

Oh they have been trying for months to reduce my broadband costs, I'm on option 3 and have been for a few years. We can offer you a £4 a month reduction sir but you have to sign another 18 month contract.......er no!

Conveniently it seems like it's just my account that’s having the mac code problem!

Well at long last I managed to get it today although there was no mention of a "fix" so I'm sure they were trying it on!
Roll on the 25th when I change over to Sky and a saving of £250 a year, oh and upto 16Mbs!
