Just on a new o2 connection and the web browsing seems a little on the slow side

tested via speedtest.net and getting 5.5meg but the web browsing speed is poor to say the least.

Using Vista / firefox / wireless

is this just because I'm inside the frist 10 days of the connection settling down ?

I think its down to some sites as I find scoobynet runs like a dog most days even on mega fast connections so does facebook but almost every other site is instant load if you get what I mean

there's no 'settling down' period with rate adaptive adsl...

try using a different dns server rather than o2's...

well I'm still having the probles ... 30 seconds to load this thread window

I'm waiting until the 10 days connection is up because they will fob me off with that when I first call. I haven't changed DNS settings because I'm not all that clued up on how to do it ? found internet protocol v4 and v6 in vista and you could define dns in those boxes ... though I was getting out of my depth.

If anyone has a solution I'm all ears.
