Cool Grid has arrived!

£32 from Shopto, net . Typical, I doubt I'll get much chance to play it today or tonight

I'll let you know what I think as soon as I can though.

Handling is like NFS with a hint of PGR imho.

I`d consider getting this as my interest in Forza2 didn`t last too long.

I`m still playing Richard Burns Rally

And they're getting worse. Most Wanted was pretty good for a (near) launch title on the 360, things went downhill fast with Carbon, and as for ProStreet - well, oh dear... I love games that run at 5fps I do...

That would be braking from high speed approaching a corner, the rest of the time mine ran fine but since your always braking for a corner it did get very annoying

PS3 version of ProStreet might run better, but the 360 version ran like a dog. the framerate was woeful even with next to nothing on screen - it should carry epilepsy warnings. Oddly, it got worse the slower you went, the speed run events didn't seem to bad, if you ignored the handling anyway.

Seriously, the WORST game on the 360 - I don't know how EA managed to get what feels like a first build through Microsoft's QA system.

Used Shopto many times in the past - only problem I've found is that the games are the Euro version, so you can't trade them in at Game or GameStation - but then I suppose that's what ebay is for.

It'll be a PAL EU copy as opposed to a PAL UK copy. May not have a BBFC rating etc on it. Some game shops won't trade them in, they wont be recognised when barcode scanned.

I've had PAL AUS games too, they all play fine, you may just have a problem if you want to use one of the larger chains to trade them in.

this is awesome

so refreshing to see the AI drivers not just following a set way around the track, im coming up to the first place bloke in the muscle cars, getting ready to make a move and i watch him mess up infront of me, hit a kerb and roll his car without me anywhere near him

and how much fun is the demolition derby races LOL

some of the yanky commentary from the "team" is a bit suspect

"both your front wheels are showing fatigue" wtf ?? confused:

1st time i properly spun out and the cam spun around i was a bit confused, same with the tyre smoke, couldn't see which way to go lol

Cool

I have been unable to find a single online game since I got it. Hopefully this is because they won't allow it before the offical release date of today and not some bug in it or problem with the PS network.

Apart from that, I'm finding it most enjoyable

Cool

Online works now. There must be some people who really have nothing more to do with their lives! How can you be Snr Pro ranked mid morning of the release day?

Still, it's good fun online, apart from the inevitable bunch of ******* who think racing is a contact sport

My team name is Geezer Racing (highly unimaginative I know, but hey) and my PS3 username for the individual rankings is heinzguderian.

A SN ranking list ?

If like me you were unimpressed with GT5P you will be a lot happier once you have downloaded the demo of Grid

One thing I really liked about the demo, I was in the BM touring race and got clipped on the rear going into a tight right hander spinning me round into the on coming traffic, everyonme piled into me, smoke everywhere and rather than the cars morphing back to the racing line and everyone disapearing as if nothing had happened, they were reversing, bumping into each other as they tried to get out of the situation, and once I'd got mine the right way round there were stiill other cars coming out of the gravel etc, brilliant as I had the in car view on at the time

Must buy this once i've completed Burnout Paradise and GTAIV, if I buy it now I know i'll not go back to those two.

wifey thinks i am going mad

anybody done the midnight touge races yet **** me they are hard, tried bumping the difficulty down to basic and still could not do one

Too many games, still ploughing my way through Forza 2 !

GT4, never mind COD4, Bioshock etc etc

We have never had it so good, so many fantastic games, just need more time.

i have been hammering this game, got around 415 gamerscore from it allready, must have a break

just missed out on doing a drift event at extreme difficulty, did around 600,000 points in the first 2 rounds, second round i did 500,000 and the finalist just did a few more

also got around 9 million quid in the bank so have been doing very little "racing for other teams" as i dont see the point?

still cant do a le mans 24 hour race yet, same with the midnight touge stuff, when it gets to dark i just crash all the time

also disapointed that i have not seen another demolition derby race yet (im on the pro section of america)

got the easy xbox live achchievments this morning, nice and easy, until it got to around 9am and then it seams like all the crashers came out in force and the game turned into a bumper car fest so i stopped playing online

anybody tried it with the driving assists off yet?

only just noticed the option
