Been playing COD4 online for some time now and today my ping has started spiking all over the place fair enough 65-80 maybe not the best ping around but good enough for a good game but there are times now where it spikes to 400+ and comes up on screen as connection problem any ideas ?

Where are the servers based your going on? - on BF2142 on our clans server my ping is 22 but on COD 4 my ping is like 40-80 - never had any spikes unless someone with a silly ping of 999 is playing then we just kick him

Not sure how you check pings' ect

But were on COD4 now on 360 and we have a shocking connection.

We are with tiscali tho, lol.

I am also with Tiscali seems to be the problem have e-mailed them will see what they come up with thanks for comments .

I only ever play on UK servers for this reason no reason to give germans or sweeds the saticfaction of killing you b4 you see them lol !!

Tiscali that says it all - when I used to be with them I couldnt do any online gaming between 6pm and 11pm so I quit and went with bethere - ive had no problems since

CoD4 ping always seems higher than other FPS games for me. That said Im sure it has got more laggy recently esp on over 20 players. Am with Pipex but thats now Tiscali anyway
