Red lights on my 360!
Hello, me and my dad were playing fifa08 this morning on the xbox 360. After turning it on and playing a game we turned it off as usual. About 5 mins later we decided to play again, when i turned it on 3 red lights shown up instead of the usual green. I cant play any games or anything. Now i know this is the RROD and a lot of people have had it. So where do i have to send it to (anyone got the address), and will it be free of charge as it is the red lights??
Many thanks

Strangely it still doesn't put me off what is a great console, probably all the money I've invested in accessories and games
Think I'll trade it in for a newer Falcon model this time, hopefully be a little more reliable.

Shouldn't have to ring them, you should get an email from UPS with a printable returns label (and usually one in the post too).

I don't think so, however every time I have sent one back, I've included a covering letter in the box (stating the serial number, reference numbers etc) just in case. Never hurts to make sure

Yep, MS will courier it back to you. As for the wait, it varies. In the past I've had it back within the week, other times it's taken nearly 4 weeks.

If they have sent you an electronic returns label (I presume by email), it usually means that you have to provide your own box (at least it has every time I've sent one back).

what kind of box, because they say they wont return it in the normal 360 box. I dont want it breaking on the way there or something. Also they havnt said what needs to go in the box or anything like that

I sent mine back on Monday (UPS), in the box that I got it back in last time It has foam inserts to hold the console in place.
Status is still "Waiting for Device at Service Center" though It was delivered to Havant on 04/03/2008 @ 1:15 P.M.
I put nothing else in the box but the console (never had a problem previous times). Just pack it well with bubble-wrap or lots of screwed up newspaper if you don't have any.
