Question anybody use free web hosting?

Don't want to pay for web hosting (doubt there will be enough traffic to justify the expense - albeit tiny expense!)

been looking at 110mb.com

Any others?

Dan, have a look at x10hosting. I've used them and they are fairly good. The provide mysql databases (think you get three) so very handy for a forum or CMS, for example, Joomla.

I use Fuzioned.com but it's not free. Only £25 a year though. The support they offer is amazing as well. The support team got out of bed for me at almost 1am the other day because I had a problem paying my renewal bill.

Hows that for service.

All my students use Free Hostia: domain hosting and web hosting service - I teach web design in an FE College.

Its completely free, 250Mb, no ads and supports FrontPage extensions (well some of them anyway) - most of them use FrontPage as they are complete novices and they find it easier than DreamWeaver.

They get a subdomain also so the URL is quite good for free:
e.g. www.sitenamehere.freehostia.com

Downsides are that there is a 500Kb filesize limit. Free hosting expires after a year but is free to renew.
