RJ11 is the adsl cable or cable that runs from router to splitter/filter. It is also the same shape to the modem cable found on your internal port on laptops etc. It is more commonly known as the american style cable.
RJ45 is the standard network cable and is usually CAT5 (ethernet). There is CAT6 and that is the same shape. This normally goes from the router to any devices and is also used in switches, hubs etc

rj45 is the classic cable for pcs to pcs??

Remember there are different types of RJ45 cable - Straight through (what youd use to connect your PC to your router), Crossover (what youd use to connect 2 pc network cards together) and Rolled (not often used at home but for connecting to aux and console type ports). Here is quite a good explanation on how to check what you have.
