depends what you want to progress to..
if you want to media stream, or connect a console, then ive found netgears to be a pile of poo, however others will swear by them.
Belkin worked for me when media streaming, so i,m looking to go down that route.
just make sure you get the correct one for your broadband application
(ie a cable router for cable connections, or an ADSL for bt line connections)

I've found Belkins to be awful, the older ones anyway. Flaky firmware, features that don't work etc. I'd go down the Netgear route, easy to set up with good features to boot

then you can have the pleasure of trying to get it to a) port forward, & b) media stream.
failing that you can dispose of it for me
I agree, they all to a lesser or greater degree, do the job intended, but you have to admit some are more suited to certian applications / OS's than others

To begin with, are you running on the latest firmware? DG834PN Firmware Version 1.03.35
What wireless channel is the router operating on? It's found under wireless settings on the router's web interface

I've got a Belkin in my room on camp and set up a Belkin at my folks, and both have been fine. Although I would say the most advanced thing I've done on them is set up a DMZ for the Xbox360; so advanced users might not like them - but I've found them pretty much idiot proof.
