Default PS3 - can you create a Japanese PSN account?

Just wondering - when you first get your console and your setting up, can you configure it for a japanese PSN account ?

Yes you can there was a set of instructions somewhere. I think someone on here posted a link to them. You basically create a new user and then set the region to japan. Then go through the same stuff you went through to set up yuor uk account. But it will be all in Japanese.

PS3: Signing Up For a PlayStation Network Japanese Account

But you have missed out on the GT5 Prologue demo. They have released the full version of GT5 Prologue for 4500 Yen (about £20), the blu-ray version is also out in Japan today I think.

Some very strange things on the Jap store though, have a look through some of the videos.

so, presumably I could by Prologue if I had the Jap account ?

then when I'm bored, is it easy to ditch the jap account and start again with an english account ? (I'd lose Jap Prologue obviously)

You can have both at the same time, You just need to set up another on your console. I have my main user as my english account and another user called Jap account for looking at and downloading jap content.
