Default Photoshop Help

Hi

I've not used photoshop much ..... I have taken a photo and cut around a persons head.

I have changed the Canvas size to the size of what size I need the finished photo to be - I need to re-size the photo as its way too big now and most is missing ....... how do I get the photo to fit inside the canvas size?

I want to make the head a bit transparent onto another photo .... how do I do that?

Remember, I'm pretty simple with these new fangled computer things, so a step-by-step would help ..... cheers

It's driving me bonkers!!

1) Posting in the correct section of the site might be the best first step

2) A better approach may have been to use the image resize option rather than the canvas resize option. The former will allow you to specify the dimensions of the image, so you'd enter what you want the final size of the image to be and it will shrink the image down, and I'm fairly sure that will also resize the canvas. When editing a picture I usually use the image resize option to take it from 3072 × 2304 pixels to a more web friendly 800 x 600 pixels. When I do this the whole thing shrinks, image and canvas.
