Question

Hello folks,

Craig and I will be taking delivery of our Westfield XTR2 towards the end of april. We are currently deciding what colour to spray the body shell.

There are very few of these cars ( < 30 supplied from westfield so far - mostly to racing teams) and there is no photographic material other than that on the Westfield site.

We are interested in painting the car british racing green.

so - if there is a budding Adobe Photoshop wizard who could do a quick spray job to give us an idea - it would be magic. If you could lose the red graphics that would be another bonus too. I am hopeless with photoshop (I just about managed to remove the calendar from the top of the image LOL )

Here is the westfield image @ 800x600

larger versions (which may help you to touch up more cleanly) can be found here:

http://www.westfieldcars.co.uk/xtr2_site/wallpaper.asp

Thanx in advance

Ian

Ian,

Sorry I can't help with the Photo, but I'm interested in the car. Is it factory built or self build? I just finished my Megabusa, ready for some track day fun!!

Hi there,

we decided it would be more fun to build the car ourselves.

Obviously this is going to take a while but at least we'll have knowledge of the complete workings by the time we've done. Plus - it gives us a good chance to look at every component we use - if its cost effective we'll replace with lighter items to increase the power/weight ratio.

The basic kit from westfield gives you everything minus wheels & tyres and the busa engine.

We've also purchased:
Lighter 4pot alloy calipers
Carbon fibre rear wing (needs to be fitted after SVA has been passed)
Anti-roll bars.

We've also got a massive list of other bits.

Mail me for a chat - I'm interested to know how you got on with the build manuals and stuff.

regards

Ian.

I can write the software and stuff - but I ain't a graphics expert

I can do the basics in photoshop - just not clever palette hue/saturation/coloury type stuff.

Silver is very temping - but I bet all of the car sold so far have ended up being silver. We want something a little different. My little girl wants bright pink - I don't think so

LOL

Ian

Wow guys... those are fantastic

How did you do that I tried to use the rubber band tool and then image -> Adjust -> replace colour.... there must be a much more straight forward way.

I wish I could use photoshop to its full potential
