As above really, does anyone know, read anything, to say that there's any plans for a white version.

When the Elite was first rumoured, i did read in OXM that the original batch would be a limited Black edition before going back to white, but haven't seen anything since to back this rumour up.

I think my launch day console may possibly be on it's way out, had 3 red lights the other night twice, each time powered it off and then back on and it was fine, could possibly have been a power issued, clocks reset on other appliances etc. but still need to think about when it does give up.

I'm sure like most, most accesories i've brought are white along with the telly and Pioneer 360 system, so i don't really want a black console.

Prefer then in white myself, the black ones look very cheap IMO.

All it has thats different is the larger HDD now the new Premium has HDMI, so I don't see why not. Just get the HDD separately if not.

Remember that your launch day console will still be covered by the extended warranty now.

I've had one incident of the Rings of Death, since then it's been fine. I only really ever had a problem when playing Forza 2 (would freeze without warning) but even now it seems to have cured itself (famous last words..).

Sent mine back for repair yesterday..

purchased in January 2007 and last weekend I had the 3 red led's light up a few times and freezing of games...

It seemed to cure itself for a while but a guy at work said his was the same and it will get worse....

Funny that, just what a bloke i work with said, he sent his way, got it back and within weeks it's gone again.

Didn't realise the Premiums now have HDMI, i was only going to get the Elite as for the sake of £50 you miss out on HDMI and the bigger HDD.

Dont forget the elite has the hdmi cable, so buying a premium + hdd + hdmi cable isnt cheaper than buying the elite.

And seeing as the hdd retails for £120-130 then its deffo worth it
