Cool

hi bravo

CS is team based FPS but very unlike Quake etc cos of real weapons and the fact that if u die u r dead til the end of that round...max of 5 mins usually.

i dont know DF so cant compare.

in all the years online i've been playing nothing comes close to CS for gameplay imho.

try it....you'll never look back.

i've converted a good few people on here now and none of them can leave it alone ! we play almost every nite !!

in fact they got so converted about 10 of them are today doing a lan session taking their pc's along !

bit far for me to travel else i'd have been there to !

guys, I play both. mostely CS now But have played DFLW a lot on line. It is fantastic. With CS you get into the action quicker. DF of course is based on Army cenarios as apposed to the police/special forces cenarios in CS. They are both good and both very playable. It would be worth us CS guys trying out DFLW online, you may fine you enjoy it a lot.

Well, yes, I have both. Comments as follows:

DF: Very reliable link. sometimes you get a slow link, but simply drop out and find another. DFLW is quicker than DF1 or DF2. Personally I like the 20 min game sessions. DF1 & 2 used to have big problems with SAWs, but that is ironed out. The game seems to be impossible to cheat on, which is cool for fair play.

CS: Yes, its a great game. I was so impressed that I bought all the original disks, so if anyone does want to organise an off site back up for me, Id be happy to oblige. However, it was always so damned unstable, even with the patches installed. I got so fed up with being kicked off, let alone trying to find a quick link in the first place. Also cheaters seem to abound. There was the ability to see through walls, and the ability to auto shoot someone in the head if three people appeared at the same time and so on. Also the 2 min sessions got a bit tedious sometimes.

In the case of both games, I would love an opportunity to play on a local lan. Ive done DF1 on a 10MB hub, and it was great fun.
