Probably going to get bombarded with links to existing threads but here goes...

I've just dragged myself into the 1990's by fitting a CD writer into my PC and getting hot at copying Audio CD's.

Can you copy PS2 games? My stepson reckons you can get the PS2 chipped to allow it....anyone know where to go and how much?

Yes you can get your PS2 chipped to play "backup" games. There are various options available such as Neo2.2 , Neo 4 , Messiah etc etc
Take a look as we've been talking about it http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...threadid=64977
The PS2 scene is quite large so I suggest you have a look on some of the forums and get some background as to what each chip does.
A good forum is www.cdrom-guide.com

There's a PS2 section in there.

I'd be careful about making references to "copying" games on Scoobynet otherwise there could be trouble and you'll receive a message from Webmaster

Hope this helps you out?

Nick..

Copying PS2 software is illegal!!

Think you'll need to bring yourself much further into the future by getting a DVD writer
There seems to be more and more ps2 games being released onto a DVD disk instead of a CD disk.
