Default Itunes Vs Windows Media Player

Hello

I'm new to all this Apple Ipod stuff. I have just HAD to load itunes otherwise the Touch wouldn't even switch on and now I have added my MP3 directory to Itunes and synced.

The question is if I want to play music on my PC in the background, what is best (Itunes or WMP)? To me Itunes seems to take up more resource, but I could be imagining it.

Thanks,

Steve

Pretty sure iTunes for Windows is a bit of a resource hog, so I doubt it's you.

There is this plugin which allows WMP11 to sync with and iPod, but I'm not sure if that works with the new range of iPods yet.

If you are playing music from the HD rather than the iPod then WMP might be the better choice. I always use iTunes though, simply as 98% of the time I'm in OS X so that's the only choice for me, but when I am in XP I don't bother faffing around with WMP and use iTunes as I don't need to learn anything new as the PC and Mac versions are nigh on the same.
