DrayTek Vigor queries
Looking at a new ADSL wireless router for home and the DrayTek Vigor 2800G gets good reviews. I need to replace my Linksys WAG54G as it is getting a bit long in the tooth - and 3 out of 4 e'net ports have given up the ghost. It also drops the line more often then I'd like.
So, one of the *issues* I've read about with the Draytek is lack of wireless range. Anyone got any direct experience of this? You can get a DrayTek Vigor 5dBi Gain Antenna ( DrayTek Vigor 5dBi Gain Antenna ) - again, anyone know if this makes a difference? And I assume you'd need two ...?
Any other comments?

We use them all the time for the small businesses we have
They are very good units, but yes the wireless range is a little on the weak side compared to other units we have tried/installed
Not sure how much of a difference it will make with the antenna's my guess is would be better than the ones that come with the unit
You could always try setting the county to US as this normally gives an extra 2db as the americans are allowed more power than we are

I think I will try this out in the office tomorrow, as we have a couple knocking around I think, once we can find the power supplies again (had a big re-decorate on, so some things have been misplaced temporarily)
