Mac Login window problem......
OK gurus need some help.
Have used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone some Macs. All has been working well, until today, where a previously operational multiple log in now doesn't work.....
From this -
To this -
The confusing thing is that NONE of my login ID/passwords are accepted.
Yet I can Firewire target the drive and quite happily run around the machine on another mac (including access to the users etc, and they all seem in place).....
Any ideas, otherwise it's a flush
And yes, I know I shouldn't really have been using Carbon Copy Cloner, but the NetRestore Helper package doesn't work for me (a different story though!!)
And the reason why I'm cloning the machines? I've got 20-odd machines to roll out and no IT support within work (they won't touch Mac - a good thing IMHO!! )
Any help would be appreciated

Was about to say that it looks like the local netinfo db had gone **** up.
Not sure how you fixed it but the following is how I've done it on machines where it's hone nuts:
Steps to nuking your netinfo database:
1. Boot into single user mode.
2. Enter the following at the prompts:
cd /private/var/db
rm .AppleSetupDone
cd netinfo
rm -rf local.nidb
exit
3. At the Apple setup screen re-enter your data for one of your users.
4. If you're locked out of your files you have a permissions / uid problem. Fix it from the terminal by entering sudo chown -R user /Users/user where user is the user shortname. If you have only one user this step will not be necessary. If you have more than one you will most likely need to do this to reset the permissions to the uid.
5. Logout and login.
6. Repair or restore the rest of the database.
