quick way to batch rename filenames in windows?

Default quick way to batch rename filenames in windows?

Have a hundred files in a single folder, and want to add "(X)" onto the end of every filename - is there a quick way to do it ?

ren *.* *x.*

from dos/command prompt (back them up first tho just incase :P )
