Getting max ranking points on R6 Vegas
I guess if I RTFM I would know, but does anyone know how the points scoring works with R6V ?
Esp on co-op terrorist hunt, I can do 2 identical games, ie complete the mission with the other players (kill all the terrorists) but in one game I get 600 points (the max I think) while an identical game later gets me 100, 200 or so points.
Terrorist hunt is my fave game, but I find myself playing Team Sharpshooter or other games, simply because (even on a losing side) the points are better.
Any ideas ?

All depends on difficulty level, number of terrorists, length of game (the longer the game, the more points you win) and also (IIRC) how many people are in the co-op game - you'll get more points for doing the game solo than you would if you were part of a 4 man team.
Me and amte keep meaning to try the unattended rank up trick but I think a patch might have put a stop to it.

Thats what I thought - but played exactly same game (15 mins, medium difficulty, medium terrorist density, 4 players, same map) won both games and get completely different points each time.
Just doesn't seem any rule to it, very frustrating.

There's definately a time element to it, if you leave it right until the end before killing the last goon you should get the maximum.

OK will check that out. I would have thought they would have done it so that the more time you take the less points you get ? ie kill 20 in 5 mins = max. kill 20 in 15 mins = less points. Maybe its my backward thinking !

600 points is if you do a T-Hunt on realistic difficulty and high density.
The time element does not matter on a T-Hunt as this has no bearing on how many points you get for doing the level, also if its just you or even 4 people that makes no difference to the points.
The time element does matter if its a retrieval game versus other real players, if left to the last second to get the package to the scoring zone then its max 1200 points.
