Default NFS: Pro Street - worth a look

I'm as cynical as anyone about the NFS franchise, but I thought this preview looked promising.

Collision damage looked good
Crashes seemed to convey the right feel to them
Cars look great
Some great smoke effects!

Watch it all the way through...

Was never a fan of NFS but quite enjoyed Most Wanted.

Though Carbon was rubbish and the trailer for Pro Street doesnt do it any favours in my opinion.

They are getting worse with each release, this will have to be a playable demo or game rental before comitting on a purchase.

Most Wanted was the best of the series. Carbon was rubbish!

I loved NFS: Carbon on the 360. One of the few games I've completed.

Not tried Carbon yet, but I picked it up for a tenner last week. Seemed to be worth a punt at that price

I thought the physics in the demo video for this new game looked pretty dodgy myself. But then NFS has never been about realism...

What? 1000G?

praise indeed if you managed that...

edit - had to check - 3 achievments out of a possible 50 - you charletan

Thought that MW looked better than Carbon - the night-time setting just made the whole place look identical to me - no variety.

It was quite good fun if you just accepted it as an arcade game though

I'd doff my cap to anyone who could manage 1000G out of Carbon - some of the achievements are absolutely rediculous, they shoudl be based on skill, not pot luck.

Not for me.

I don't forgive uncontrollable messes on account of them being Arcade games.

Burnout or PGR, that's a arcade racer. NFS:MW was just plain bobbins.

IMO obv.

It's not uncontrollable though. I found it quite easy to handle, especially once the cars were upgraded a bit. I really must go back and finish it...

Burnout rocks (much better than pgr)

I was 18th when I switched the box off last night - probably down into 3 figures by the time I have a look tonight...
