what do you use to burn mp3's??
i used to used real player years ago, but last time i looked on there you've got to pay to do it.
any free ways to do it?

you want to rip mp3s from your audio CDS?
You can use iTunes, which is free. remember to set the Edit>Preferences>Importing settings to MP3 and the quality you want.
iTunes will also take MP3s to make an Audio CD if that's what you want - copy the mp3s into a playlist and then burn using the playlist
the tunes are only protected when you've bought the music from iTunes' shop.
your own music is free to burn/rip/etc

be carefull what bitrate you use, I found that burning cd's to play in the car through iTunes, I could tell what bitrate they were by the sound quaility. Currently all my stuff is encoded to 320 AAC but I'm intending to redo it all to lossless when I'm bored enough.
Wish Apple would add FLAC support...
