Default Little big Planet

If anything is going to make me buy a PS3, this is.

Utterly, utterly fantastic. Co-op, platforming, teamwork, fun.

Just don't like those sort of games, (i.e. purile rubbish with annoying tunes). It's almost as bad as a Nintendo game

Is that going to be a full price game? Saw a run through of that before and thought it was to be released on the PS3 equivalent to Xbox Marketplace?

Saw a few screens and thought it looked quite different.

On the subject of purile games, I never thought I'd enjoy Viva Pinata as much as I did...

It was going to be - But AFAIK it is to be expanded substantially, especially with user created content and full price in summer 2008.

It was E3 game of the show for a lot of journos.

It looks absolutely fanstatic and I love the co-op element.

never heard of it, after watching the video, i have no clue what you are supposed to do either, looks quite strange, do you just run to the right hand side and climb up things?

It's basically like an obstacle course, that in order to make it to the end of the level, you need to use a combination of team work and physics. You will notice on the "jet pac" part, all four people are needed to lift up the shell to place in the bucket to open the gate etc. On the moving star part, one person holds onto the star, whilst the other holds onto the person holding the star and so on

So it's basically a clone of "The lost Vikings" but with better graphics and simpler gameplay?

In 4 player co-op I guess it would be okay, but single player would be total pony.

I think "Utterly, utterly fantastic" is a little (read: a lot) extreme

I see you like to dismiss opinions that conflict with your own Co-op with the CPU has never worked in any game I have seen yet, so I will hope to be proved wrong. GoW single player was made frustrating for me by bad partner AI.

Reggie actually said he wasn't sure how well it would do on the PlayStation 3.

Personally, I think it looks quite fun, just cynical about the CPU co-op as I said.

Fair point. I just don't like to dismiss games out of hand without playing them.

Agreed, I must admit I am looking at this purely on a multiplayer tip. My youngest and I watched the trailer and both said - "must have".

The single player I can imagine being half the fun

Indeed, but he also said it looked great, and its well known Nintendo tried to sign up the dev team before the commited to PS3

YUp, quite possibly a multiplayer game only.

An utterly, utterly fantastic multiplayer game, that is

How can you possibly know that until you've actually played it?

are you timed or is it like a free run ?

it looks intresting, but as said above, single player mode could be a bit crap and would probably involve you walking about until in the right place, where by the cpu player would then do something?

Touche!

To me, it looks like the acest thing I have seen in ages. Especially in a sea of space marines, cars and thefts.
