Default Is Colin Mc Dirt worth buying a X360 for?

Bought a X360 on release and subsequently sold it on due to lack of driving games.

I've been waiting for another CMc game for ages. Is it worth getting a X360 for?

Absolutely....not
But there are loads of other games that it's worth buying the 360 for.

Depends if you'll like the game ultimately. I cant see any concole being worth buying for just one game but there are a multitude of great 360 games now and most available at very good prices ie £15-25

If you are buying one it may be worth waiting until the new 120gig hd is released, also the exteme 360 or whatever its called, this will probably affect current prices and bundle deals.

Correct. The only 'multiplayer' is the 100 player online timed races.

It's called the Elite. Worth giving people the right info when advising them

Current prices are way below the RRP anyway and the bigger HD is of no use unless you'll be downloading a lot of HD content to view. Can always upgrade later anyway. Only advantage is that it has an HDMI output but again not of a great use if your main useage is for games.

Yeah thats the one , i wasnt necessaraly saying to buy the new one, but it could reduce the cost of the current 360.

Depending on how good microsofts movie/tv download service is when its eventually available in the uk will determine if the bigger hd is required, looking at the release titles available in the US there seems a good choice.

Depends - The vast majority of 1080p screens won't display that resolution under component, making HDMI output from the 360 Elite an extremely attractive proposition (and almost completely useless out of the "vanilla 360")

Fair point but the native resolution of most games is 720p I believe.

I think it's all 360 games

It's not a big deal, it just means you either display at 720p or 1080i - But it's pretty annoying have a 1080p display and not being able to use it fully with the 360 using component or VGA

Dunno about that. I bought a SNES for Street Fighter 2, even though i had a Megadrive. Then bought a PS2 for GT2.

I can't see me playing it much, but when there is spare time, i would play a rally/car game no worries. Plus when friends come round that would be great too.

Thanks for the comments. Think i'll go play it in Game and see. If it's not that "I want that now" situation, i think i'll hold back and see the prices drop and the title range increase.

BTW, a friend is working on Sega Rally. Wander if he can get us a copy

No such issues with a panel that excepts 1080p over VGA like the new Samsungs
