Colin Mcrae Dirt...
Is everyone else so involved with Forza 2 that you've forgotten about Colin???
I picked it up on Saturday, and WOW!! Well impressed... gotta be honest, but visuals, handling, gameplay... for me it's heads and tails above Forza...
Anyone else played it yet?

Yep I picked it up, but haven't played it much yet (been playing Forza instead). The graphics are pretty, but the handling is more like an arcade game than a simulation. Looks good for a laugh though

Dirt doesn't half show up forza in the graphics and visuals department, it's absolutely stunning! the replays are awesome when you use the slow mo button
shame about the physics though

Had a play of this yesterday on my bro's 360.... thought it was a right laugh
So much so that I think I'll be purchasing a 360 this week
Played on Forza 2 as well and while I enjoyed that I think it's geared more around the serious racer - still enjoyed playing it and will get online to join some races
EDITED TO ADD: I really like the menu system on CM Dirt

Its so annoying that they have released both FM2 and DiRT in the same month...
Here i am tackling all the tracks that Forza can throw at me and building up quite a decent run on the game.... then... all of a sudden, out comes DiRT!!!
Gutted...
I prefer rally / off road racing games to track ones but i am so heavily involved in Forza i havent got the time to even buy DiRT yet....
My missus will kill me if i get DiRT also, having to battle around corry and emmerdale as it is...

Forza 2 and DIRT for less than £50 delivered @ gamestation.co.uk
I was trying to decide between the two, but for that price!
Some Places are selling just Forza for that!
Bargain!

I got DiRT on Thursday. Haven`t played Forza2 since. The menu is great so are the stages if only a bit short. I`ve got some half decent cars now, the rear wheel drives being the best fun and I`m liking the Evo too. Visualy it`s great but I`m a bit dissapointed with the handling and I`m in two minds about the co-drivers voice. Seems a bit yankiefied with various end of stage comments. I`m not at all interested in the Buggies/Corr/Trucks but the Hillclimbs are cool, `specially in something powerfull. Not sure I`ll still be playing it much in 12 months time whereas I can imagine still being on Forza2.
Overall, great fun - 7/10.

I held it in my hand last Friday at a local store when all of a sudden an inner voice told me not to get it just yet. Hmm, someday I will buy DIRT but for now....(must resist)... I will keep on playing Forza instead. I am sure this inner voice would not have shown up when these two games release dates were not so close.
Played it a bit more over the last couple of nights, and it does seem that the higher up the career ladder you go the more realistic the handling becomes. Certainly more care is needed on the brakes when you're on the slippy stuff, and far easier to put in the trees if you're not listening to the notes carefully!
I'm only up to the pro-am difficulty level, but a certain improvement in the physics... or is it just psychological??
