Looking round the web last night and saw a rumour that the mini might be being discontnuied. Can't rememeber for the life of me where I read it though.

AppleInsider | Closing the book on Apple's Mac mini
Nothing confirmed as yet, but AI usually get it right as they have people inside Apple leaking info. Shame if it's true as the Mini is a great little 'Puter. I'm gonna treat myself to one to use as a media centre soon. Was waiting for them to get C2D and Leopard, but that may be unlikely now Apparently Apple never wanted it, but the board pressured them into it to try and catch more of the PeeCee market. It has worked and been a successful product. Let's hope its replacement is as good or better, if there's to be one. C2D, Leopard, a separate graphics card and easier upgradeability would be good. However, the runour is that the Apple TV is going to fill the gap, with a little more functionality added

Not had any confirmation and to be honest Apple make us sign an NDA ( non disclosure agreement). To be honest it would not surprise me and I do think you'll see a hybrid MacMini AppleTV kind of product.
