Creating mac-like windows/apps in API/VB
Had a google for a few hours, but didn't reveal much.
Wanted to create an app, that had a different lOOk/feel to the usual windows blue/grey. Something fancy like mac apps.
So has anyone done something similar using the Windows API/VB??
I couldn't even get to change the title bar.
Had a lOOk at this VBSkinner, but i think you need to purchase it to get the OCX to work.

Well I found this PJWIN - Skin Based GUI Toolkit
You can get 'theming' components, not sure what is in the VB marketspace as Ive never touched it. Other than that you can do API calls to do alpha blending (semi-transparent forms) for XP machines and can also draw non-standard window regions to create any shape window you like.
