Default Recommend me a Motherboard please!

I'm going to build a new PC, I'm going to use an Intel core 2 duo E6600 processor but I cant decide on what motherboard to go for, theres too many to choose from. What do people recommend?

I've always been impressed with Asus and MSI in the past

It doesnt need on board graphics as I will be using a PCI express card (so its must have PCI-E slot)

Thanks

I've got a MSI P965 Platinum for my 6600, and I've had no trouble with it at all.

£70 would buy you an ABIT Fatal1ty SLi board with overlocking to about 3.8ghz with decent ram and and cooling.

using the above here too, great overclockers just make sure you get at least the DS 3, any variant below this is not on the same level performance wise.

If it was my money, this is what I would be looking at.
Cheap as chips, a great overclocker and as far as reviews go, the new P35 chipset isn't a big enough improvement to justify the additional expense at present.

Unless you can stretch to this of course

Dam, Anything but Gigabyte.

Off all the motherboards I've used, gigabyte are the only ones to have let me down.

Well, after reading ALOT of good reviews I decided to go for the DS3.

Suppose everyone deserves a 2nd chance.
