Default .iso files????

Ive got some iso files on my computer and I'm a bit stuck on how to open them!

I've burned them to a CD, but when I open the CD once burned nothing happens, it's just the iso file there, nothing else and my PC won't open it.

What am I doing wrong? Does anybody have/know of software that allows me to open the files without writing them to a disc????

MagicISO (to name one) will open them without burning...

To answer your question about the root of the problem, you've simply burnt the ISO to disc as if it were any other file to be stored on a disc. Your burning software should have a specific option for burning disc images

I'm using Roxio easy CD creator. Do you know how I'd go about doing it? When I choose new CD session, do I choose a bootable CD, data CD or an enhance CD??????????

neither, you need to find the option to "burn image"

You could download Daemon Tools. Load your image into a Daemon tools vitual CD drive. And then with roxio do a CD copy.

ISO Buster is a good application as well. Lets you open the ISO file and then extract the files to your hard disk.

If you want to burn the images then as mentioned above, just get a good burning program and cook the ISO.

For a top notch open source application try CD Burner XP Professional, I can't fault this product and best of all, its open source!
