I need a camcorder driver
I have a new camcorder with the installation cd, etc.
My PC will not recognise the camcorder. It is a Canon MV960.
Firewire is plugged in, camera set to play and it still isn't recognised.
Can anyone please help?
I have tried using the canon software and windows movie maker to see if that prompts a find, but it doesn't help.
(I just want to watch a little tunnel run I filmed at the weekend with friends)
The Canon website only lists software drivers.

Firewire doesn't normally need a driver - providing the firewire port and lead are working correctly it should just detect it so might be worth double checking things on the camcorder end
