Question Shell Stations onto Tom Tom One

I have the shell stations on my PC in a zipped format ready to install on my tom tom one... the only thing is I'm not sure on how to do it, I've updated other bits off the net so I know how to do that side but how do I go about loading the stations onto the SD Card ? will I need to get them on via a card reader by removing the card from the one and plugging it in the reader ? or can I explore the SD card via the TT sofware when I have the unit plugged in the PC ?

Thanks
Simon

I usually copy the POI files into the map folder on the SD card , beware though there is an upper limit of about 40 POI's you can have , so if you have speed camera's and the like you can get near that pretty easily .

Yeah you can use the TomTom to copy it on via USB transfer, although a card reader will be marginally faster.

Thanks guys, yes I have the speed cameras installed on it already... I'll have to get a card reader and have a look and see how much space is on the card before I do anything maybe ?
I'll have to have a closer look before I do anything as I don't want to **** it all up at this stage.

Just take a backup of the card first off.

Also, there's 2gb cards available for < £10.

Best to get a bigger card in case you want more maps, POI's, voices etc.
Although you will be fine to add some POI's I would imagine.
When I got mine, I saved some space by removing all the foreign voices I didn't need. You can do it using the Tom Tom home software that comes with it.

You don't need a card reader , just connect the Tomtom via usb cable , go to my computer and it will show as an extra drive , then copy the POI's into the map folder from your hard drive.
