Wireless network help
I have a Dell Latitude D600 that has got a Dell TruMobile 1300 Wlan mini-pc.
Under my network connections is says "wireless network connection not connected, firewalled Dell trumobile"
When I search for a wireless connection I get a message saying windows cannot configure this network.
What am I doing wrong??why can I not get any wireless networks to appear?

you would need to use the dell software to configure it, unless you change this in the options, IIRC its a yellow wireless tab on the bottom right which should one of the icons next to (or very near) the windows one

Thanks mate..You guided me to another icon that I had not used..I had to press Fn-F2 to enable the radio..It now works but it still shows no wireless networks available if I do a search.

Long shot straight from memory, but have you tried the switch on the left hand side???
You should see the 'WiFi' logo light lit up on the panel where the battery and Disk operating light are...

Try having a look on the Dell website / support section. It sounds like you are using the wrong drivers.
Make sure you also have the same channel set on your Wi-Fi card and the access point, and that you are doing the same a, b or g. Also try disabling the laptop's firewall on this adapter, and any encryption, line WPA PSK etc, just until you have established a link, then put each back on one at a time.

The D600's don't have a switch on the left or wifi logo, this is only on the D620's. The wireless drivers for the 600 were named wrong, had to work out which one was correct.
Trying to locate the ones i used, try these for 1300/1400/1450, search the dell site for
R102318.EXE
R58361.EXE
R102318.EXE
make sure its enabled in bios
Fn-F2 to switch blue light on (intergrated with bluetooth iirc)
should be getting a "graph" icon in the bottom right
oh if youre not getting any networks listed when you open up the "2monitor" wireless network icon and it says can't configure if you want to use 'wireless zero configuration' setup - youll probably see the networks listed there.
