Cool Batch file help

hi guys,

just created a batch file on XP,i know that the exit switch does not work on xp,but it does on 2000,95 and 98

is there any way that i can get rid of the DOS box without user intervention..ie:-having them press any button to continue or click the close box tab?

I'm probably not understanding your purpose correctly, but if you run the batch file by double clicking it in windows then it will close itself when it has finished.

Can you post the contents of the batch file and what you are using it for. I want to understand and help. I just love scripting. Perverse, I know.

If I understand you correctly

you've got something like this ignore the actual programme

sleep 120
run a: scooby.exe

to close the batch file after scooby has run, use exit

so it would look like
sleep 120
run a:\scooby.exe
exit

Exit will exit dos
