Default Ethernet vs Wireless???

Im running my laptop and 360 wirelessly via my router but what would be the advantages of connecting either the laptop or the 360 by ethernet to the router?

in simple terms it would be quicker on your local area connections than wireless, even if you have a 54 or 108meg wireless, ethernet will be significantly faster... If you'r using the connection to get to the internet then its not going to make much difference.. there not a single techie term used...

As above really - I've got a router system with an Airport (wireless bridge) on one of the ports.

The house is networked (with cable) - for transferring raw audio files from the studio around the house, there isn't anything better than the cable. Also used for high-volume transfers too

tbh, the wireless bit was installed for me to take my pda and MacBookPro outside during the Summer, for surfing on the patio

The 360 and various PCs/Mac all connect through the wired hub though.

More secure that way too
