turn off the Anti Phising feature and it will run quicker. Cant remember if it double click the little icon at bottom middle of screen or right click to turn it off as I only use IE7 at work !

running McAfee VirusScan 8.5 (corporate version) also seems to slow IE7.

I find IE7 to be much quicker than both IE6 and firefox, (and less buggy than them both)

Hi its me again,

IE7 is probably better than both, but a lot of security software causes it to slow down as basically IE7 and security software are doing the same checks at the same time.

Nortons Phising filter for example. but you knew that

I used to be a firefox fan, at the moment im still using it. But I find its starting to crash on certain pages and the like. IE7 works with everything to be fair so im probably going to migrate to that

That doesn't make FF crap. That's generally Lazy developing/coding.

I've never had a problem with FF being slow or crashing....and although IE7 is faster than 6, FF still beats it.

I occasionally have problems with Thunderbird but I have a LOT of mail, some with large or many attachments (and it was still leagues better than OE)

Firefox was doing tabbed browsers and was more secure way before IE7 came along... The addon support for FF also means it stays ahead of the game.

I've never experienced any problems with it.. I did have IE7 installed for a short period, but I never found it offered anything extra (speed, stability, security etc) that Firefox couldn't or didn't provide..

I may re-install and give it the benefit of a few months work..
