Further rumour is that MS will announce their line of 'black peripherals' at the same time, there will be a 'demo' Halo 3 video disc with some exclusive Red vs. Blue videos also on there.

Still rumours though - I would be surprised to see them do it. lets face it, scuppering the Aussie launch of PS3 isnt exactly a key territory.
Wont be happy if it does hapen though - early adopters shafted yet again.

YUp - But the source is an Australian retailer - Not likely to be concerned with the Euro launch.
Not only that , but Gates and Moore et al have gone on record saying they don't beleive you need anything bigger than a 20GB HDD. Whether they actually beleive this is debateable, but they will look pretty silly if MS now release a 120GB version.

There will be a bigger HD that's a certainty... it's just when. Money to be made in it!

If it going to sell at the same price as premium does at the moment - It means:
(i)You have lots of redundant stock in the form of 20GB propriety HDDs that become worthless overnight - Ie. people wont by a 20GB premium at the same price.
(ii)You also have redundant stock in the form of 20GB HDD upgrades for core machines.
(ii)A 120GB will cost more than a 20GB meaning you make an even bigger loss on every 360 sold.
The only way to recoup the cost is trhough marketplace, and given the avergae arcade title weighs in at less than 50MB or so, it would take forever - i.e there is no incentive for people to upgrade.
Not going to happen is my bet.
