Default XP Home Edition.

Hi, I need someone who has a XP Home Edition CD to copy it and send it to me please. Obviously I will pay for the CD and postage. My laptop came with XP originally already preloaded and the recovery CD that came with it is corrupt so I can't reinstall the operating system. Question is though, if I was to use someone elses copy to install windows, can I then use my existing seriel number so that the installation is still legit as I dont want to use a clone seriel number. If I can't use the existing seriel that came with my laptop then I will have to purchase another copy of XP.

Please PM if you can help me out.

Thanks.

Naz.

get the iso off bittorrent. The licence is in the serial number which you still have, so nothing illegal/immoral .

Or phone M$ and ask for replacement media. I'm sure they will do it for a small charge.
