Default Mac keyboard/mouse recommendation

Can anyone recommend a wireless keyboard and mouse for our Mac. The Apple wired devices I have are a pain. No bluetooth built in so something with a USB transmitter.

The old Microsoft one I have on a PC seems to work fine, just wondered if there was something better and more Mac specific available?

"No bluetooth built in so something with a USB transmitter."
That rules out the Apple keyboard and mouse...

I guess a bluetooth USB dongle isn't out of the question but that makes the Apple solution even more pricey!

What makes "The Apple wired devices you have a pain"?
Is it just purely from a storage point of view?

Location. Cables are in the way and make it difficult to move them to one side which would be useful. Also they are tired old units from a now dead powermac so not the best pieces of kit to start with.

Logitech do one which is USB based. Have a look here in the Apple shop for details.

I've been an Apple user for years - but the wireless mighty mouse is the first product i've been dissapointed in. Ball gets clogged easily and the right click randomly stops working. I'ts well documented on the Apple Support forum - but as of yet - no update has been released.

Logitech looks good but it's twice the price I can get an MS one for. Just because it's white? Any Mac users got a setup they are happy with?
