Default netgear router DG843G v2

I've had one of these running for about 14 months and it's been fine but now it keeps dropping the internet connection about every 10-15 mins.
i've rebooted, pulled the plug and updated the firmware.
Help.
Do i need to get another or is there a fix?

I've just changed to a Belkin G Plus MIMO 10C2DE , as the range on my existing was not enough, and the access point was going to cost only £10 cheaper than changing to the better Router. Mine cost £54.99 from PC World, as they are on special at the moment.

I would change it, when you get intermittent problems with anything, they are the worst kind of problems.

The latest version of the firmware can give problems. When I updated it kept locking up/dropping. Looked on the Netgear forum and this seems to be a common problem. There's 3 versions available to download - I rolled back to the previous version, V1.01.28, and it's been fine since.
