Dell laptop spares - supplier?
My Inspiron 8200 has suddenly developed a display fault (flickering, repeating patterns in red across the whole screen). The machine has an ATI Radeon Mobility 9000 video card, and I think the fault is with its graphics memory.
Can anyone please recommend somewhere that might be able to supply a replacement video card in a reasonable space of time? Or, alternatively, somewhere I can trust to carry out the repair for me?
Ta
Andy.

They arer one of the few approved Dell parts retailers. Just give them a buzz and tell them your Asset/serial tag and they will give you a price.
We use them for all our extras as they arer loads cheaper than Dell directly.

Looks as though you were lucky - the best price I've seen advertised is £95+VAT.
So, instead, I've bought a cheap Nvidia 32MB card off Ebay for a much more reasonable £24 all-in, which should be fine given that I use the machine for web browsing and photo editing, neither of which is GPU intensive.
The fault appears to be a broken connection between GPU and graphics memory, so once I have the new card installed I can reflow the old one with a heat gun - I estimate about a 50/50 chance that it'll start working again, provided the fault is just a cracked solder joint under a BGA. If it doesn't work, or the card ends up toast, I've lost nothing.
