Don't have any problems with my home hub.
Normally you have to make sure the computer connecting can:
a) see the hub (if not, problem with your pc as you'd know if you'd set the hub to not broadcast)
b) have the ID/login and password.
also, check what channel it's broadcasting on (may do well to change to a stronger channel, 6 or 11 rather than the default 1).

(I don't have any problems with it either... infact it's much better than the last piece of $hit that BT sent me prior to the HH
