Question Wireless dropouts

I've got a client that is using a Netgear wireless router FWG114P and a WG102 access point in bridging mode. The problem they have is that the wireless drops after about 8 hrs (sometimes less but not more). The router is connected to their office LAN that has a number of HP2524 switches (don't know if they're in a rack or scattered about the office). If they disconnect the router from the LAN then the wireless will stay up more or less indefinitely.

Can anyone give me an idea what's going on and the best way of fixing it?

You need to confirm the Lan is causing the issue, disconnect and make sure that the wireless does stay connected, do it over night if possible and leave something downloading or uploading so that there is traffic.

Once you know its the Lan you can start to investigate

This has already been done. Wireless stays up if LAN disconnected.

Once? twice?

Remember if you assume anything with computers you can end up wasting a lot of time. So is the user telling you this ? whats to say it wasn't just by chance.. its worth checking again.. are you 100% sure that its the LAN?

LOL. All evidence so far is anecdotal. I got dragged on to this last Friday and I suspect I'm going to have to do testing for myself. TBF I am dealing with techies as opposed to users so hopefully there's some semblance of truth in what's been reported
