Question P910i Owners - transfer files from pc?

I've got one of the DSS 25 sync docs for my 910i. I've tried to install it both on my Dell desktop and IBM laptop and neither machine can recognise the phone. I've downloaded all the current software and drivers for the phone and sync station and still can't get this to work. I've installed and uninstalled 2 dozen times and it's driving me nuts.
Only advice I find on the web is to switch off any firewalls or virus software and this makes no difference.

Any suggestions?

I plug in my 750i with it's data cable and I can access the phone and memory card no problem.

Can I junk the sync station and just use a data cable? - or is that what the sync station effectively is?

Kevin,

The synch software forf the P900 range can be a complete pain to get working with any form of firewall or anti virus in place.

What I would do is to completely deinstall these packages and any anti malaware you have running, reboot, then run the synch software. I would be surprised if it does not work.

On the firewall/anti virus pavkage I use I discovered that it was the anti virus part that was getting in the way.

Let me know how you get on.

Cheers

WB

Thanks WB, I had read that this could be a problem. I did switch off all the security stuff but what I might do is try installing it on a spare PC I have and make sure all the anti virus, firewall anti spam stuff is removed first.

I'll let you know.

Not yet, been busy, have picked up a data cable for it though. Have a go tomorrow - providing I don't open the £50 XBox I got from Argos today
