Default Need a mouse....

I have a G4 Mac still running Mac OS 9. My optical mouse is knackered. I am buying a new Mac soon so don't want to spend a lot on a mouse. My question is, if I buy a cheapo PC Line mouse for £4.99 will it work?? Obviously I wouldn't want to load the mouse driver CD which I know wouldn't work. Can I just plug in and go?

I was hoping one would if uploading mouse drivers wasn't required. All new mice say Mac OS 10 and above. I'll give one of these cheapies a try.

Never understood why people don't spend much money on mice and keyboard. They are your interface to the computer and you'll spend 90% of your computing time using them...........

I agree, but its only a temporary solution and I didn't want to spend a lot on a mouse that might not work for some reason.

Have splashed out a whopping £9.99 on a Logitech laser mouse. Works fine. Only problem was getting the sodding thing out of the packaging!
