Ive got aol broadband it has worked for the last two years ive had it.

Two days ago my download speeds dropped from 180 kps to 10 kps, the modem says it is recing the 2 meg, but im certainly not getting those speeds, when downloading, web pages are runing slow etc

What ive done

Spoke to aol tech support lol no help at all
Update modem drivers

So im stuck no idea what else i can try, anyone on here got any ideas on how to sort this problem out?

sp2 wont help your download speeds, I use sp1 as it it has'nt got the tcp limit on it you can down load a patch for sp2 that remove the limit.
It is safe its not a virus

you can fone up BT and ask for a line test. how about changing the micro filter? also fone AOL and ask if they moved you to their LLU.

BT will not do a line test if you are on AOL, you have to ask AOL to do it.

AOL are having major problems

They keep on fobbing people off blaming BT, your modem etc but there is a problem their end.

Have a look on the AOL message boards & theres loads of people having issues with their connection.
