Default Home networking/routing advice...

Evening all,

I'm going to be moving into my new place next week and just trying to figure out the neatest way to get the network set up.

Can someone in the know have a quick look at the below diagram and let me know if my thinking is right?

Thanks

David

the 2100 has autosensing (not auto uplink)ports so you will need a crossover cable for the upstairs downstairs link

if you're running 1 you might as well run a few cat6 links (or cat5e) and just connect it all to the router

Thanks Mike

I had thought of running it all to the router but don't really want to have a whole bunch of visibly running around the house.

How do other people get around this?
